Chapter 5: Yuhi.

“Like you might’ve heard this place is called Skulls Island it exists in one of the many ethereal realms out there called the Ancient realm, I know you all want to ask what the hell is an ethereal, simply put you guys lived in the material world before dying and after your souls leave your material bodies, they are reincarnated here but in an ethereal body instead, although you’ve incarnated in the ethereal world that doesn’t mean that you have become immortal, yes mister Clarence ”

“Teacher, then what happens if we die in the ethereal realm?” Cole asked the question that was in almost everyone’s mind.

“If you die your soul will leave your ethereal body and go to its final destination the river of souls there your soul will reincarnate in the material world again and when you die, you will then be reincarnated in one of the ethereal realms again and the cycle continues on forever”

Emma then interjected and said “Then doesn’t that mean we are immortal?”.

“Well technically you are not immortal your soul is, when you incarnate after entering the river of souls, you lose all your memories, and you might not even incarnate into human, you could be an animal, a plant or any of the other races like demon kin and elves”.

“There are races other than humans out there, no way” Alex said in an awed tone.

“Yes, there are many other races out there some look almost the same as humans, and some are totally different”

“Then which race contains the most beauties” Alex asked with a drooling face.

Professor Liam looked at Alex and then indifferently continued  “In a matter of fact , almost every race contains beauties, some use their beautiy as a weapon like the Sirens and Nymphs to prey on gullible creatures like mister Carter here, and some other races like Fairies and Elves look good because they have good genes, but they don’t use their looks to deceive others, because of their high morality”

Alex kept having a serious face while professor Liam kept explaining seeing this Adam thought that Alex was listening seriously to the teacher’s advice and said “Don’t worry, as long as you don’t provoke those races you won’t be in any danger”

“What are you talking about I was wondering if I should corrupt the fairies and elves or take the risk and play with sirens and nymphs” Alex said looking like he was making the hardest decision in his life.

Not only Adam and Cole even the three beauties face palmed, because of Alex’s idiocy.

” Pfft , Looks like this idiot is gonna die somewhere before I beat the hell out of him, such a shame, nah not really” William said in a sarcastic and loud voice.

“Shut up, you’re just jealous cause I am a player who will someday have the largest harem ever to exist in the mortal and ethereal realms, ha” Alex proudly said his goals with a triumphed look.

Even the indifferent professor Liam couldn’t take it anymore and said with a cold tone “Mister Carter, go stand at the end of the class and face the wall”.

Once everybody heard what Alex’s punishment was they laughed loudly some of the people present couldn’t even breath because of how hard they laughed.

Alex stood up and walked to the end of the class and said before turning his face to face the wall “Ladies although you will be part of my harem, please don’t stare at my sexy back too much, before we officially go out” after Alex shamelessly said that he turned around and leisurely faced the wall.

the three beauties all blushed, even the cold and aloof Eva had a red face.

“Ahh, looks like this class is going to give me cancer” Professor Liam said in a very weary tone.

“Let’s get back to the lecture at hand, last thing we talked about was concerning the various races, then let’s now talk about the various abilities that those races excel in, some races excel in magic but has a body that is not fit for body development techniques, some are the exact opposite having a body suited for those techniques but not suited for practicing magic, so to solve that problem various races started to contract beasts so they will help replace their inability in a certain field, the last of the common abilities that all races share are the elemental powers, simply put elemental power is the affinity of an individual with a certain element that exist in nature, and the ability to manipulate it through elemental spirits also called Sprite”

“Yes, mister Cole what is your question?”.

“What is the ability that the human race excels in?”

“The human race actually does not excel in any of these abilities, they are an all-rounder race neither weak nor strong in any these abilities”

“Then is the human race a weak race” It was now Adam’s turn to ask, he looked a bit worried while he asked his question.

“No, actually humans are one of the rare races that have a special ability that no other race has, and that is yuhi. Yuhi is a power that exist deep in the human soul it has its own consciousness and is different from one person to another, that is because it is not a separate entity but part of your own soul and body, yuhi takes form in the shape of your deepest desire or wish granting you a unique ability”

“Yes, miss Eva”

“How do we use yuhi?”

“When your yuhi awaken you naturally will know how to use it, about when it awakens it depend on the person, some people would awaken it in their teens some late in their life, and rarely some don’t at all but that is extremely small number of people, That is the end of today lecture, hand me your identification cards so I may give you your contribution pointes”

“Do we get contribution points just by attending a lecture, that’s awesome” Alex was the first one to run over and hand his card.

Professor Liam twitched his eyebrows “Of course not, this is because you are the only ones to read the message and attend, normally we put the notice in every new student room some see it and don’t care to check it out, some try to read but give up quickly when they realize they don’t recognize the language, only a certain number of people who try a little harder will be able to read the notice, so those people get some contribution points after the introductory lecture as a reward, that is also why I said I was disappointed in the beginning of the class, every year the students who attend the first lecture decreases and this year was a record breaking year, only nine out of all who arrived understood the message, *sigh* this academy is already the weakest in all of the Ancient realm academies, and it is getting worse every year, enough talking about that take your card and go check the mission and exchange building after class”

After giving the rewards, the professor left the class looking like he was finally released from hell.

Everyone left after the professor only the Adam trio was left after they reorganized their thoughts Cole said ” Let’s go to the mission and exchange building first and then return to the lodging”.
