Chapter 2: Strange dream, strange words.

Not only Adam who was stunned practically everyone had their jaw dropped, that you could fit an ostrich egg in their mouth.

“Hey, new students stop standing there looking stupid and come over here to register your name, we don’t have all day” shouted a man in a loud voice to get the attention of the people who arrived from a different world.

“It looks like it’s really is a different world, I have a feeling it going to be a blast” said the red haired guy and went to register his name.

“What is your name? how old are you?”  asked the man in an indifferent voice.

” William Smart, 19 years old”. replied William to the man.

“Put a drop of your blood on this card, and your all set” the man put the card in front of William and gave him a needle.

“So that’s it, just my name and age and a drop of blood is all it take to enroll here” said William to the man looking disappointed.

“What, were you thinking you needed to take a test so you could enroll here, let me tell you something, enrolling in the academy is the easy part, surviving now that were the hard part comes in” smirking the man took the card after William put his blood on it, and made a seal with his hand the card lit up and words started appear on its surface.

“This is your identification card don’t lose it, it records your name and age and also your position in the academy and your contribution points, here is a map of the academy follow the route that is highlighted on it to reach the lodging you are going to stay in” giving the card and the map to William the man then continued “Don’t obstruct the line behind you, you may leave”.

William wanted to say something but the man ignored him and talked to the person who was behind William, this left William no choice but to do as the man said and follow the map to his lodging.

“Okay, the next one stat your name and age and put a drop of your blood on the card I am giving you”.

After the second, third and fourth person finished the procedures it was now Adam’s turn.

“Name and age?”

” Adam Hunter , 20 years old”

“Put your blood on the card and then follow the route on the map to your lodging”.

After finishing the procedures Adam left the building he was in behind and followed the map to his lodging. While on route Adam didn’t see much only greenery sometimes he would see people walking by, but they didn’t pay him any mind.

30 minutes later Adam arrived in front of a wooden cabin, he checked the map in his hand to confirm that he was in the right place. After making sure, he pushed the door of the cabin and entered.

Inside the cabin there was a reception, a kitchen, a bathroom and a large bedroom with a triple bunk bed, a big closet and a round table with 5 chairs.

Seeing the triple bunk bed Adam thought to himself ‘It looks like I will not be the only one living in this cabin’.

“Doesn’t matter I am dead tired, I am going to go to bed its already dark outside” Adam climbed to the top bed and laid down “Dead tired LOL, I am going to laugh myself to sleep”.

……….

“What are you? and what do you want?”.

“What do you desire?”.

“why are you asking me about my desire all sudden for, explain to me first, who are you?”.

“I am your …….”.

When the sun shined throw the window and hit Adams face, he was awoken from his dream “What was that strange dream all about, I must have been pretty tired yesterday”.

Sobering up Adam heard a strange noise which sounded like elephants being trampled on, he looked under his bed and found out that the sound was coming from the guy sleeping in the bed under him “Looks like that guy was more tired than I was”.

“Good morning” a voice greeted Adam all of a sudden.

“Ah, hello sorry I didn’t notice you standing there beside the door”.

“No problem, we’re roommates from now on no need to be too polite. My name is Cole Clarence, nice to meet you”.

“Adam Hunter, the pleasure is all mine. What are you doing there beside the door Cole?”.

“Nothing  I’m just reading the instructions for the new students that is posted on the wall”.

“What, there are instructions let me see” Adam got down from his bed and went near where Cole was standing, he noticed a paper was hung on the wall he tried to read it but he couldn’t, because it was written in a strange language that he never seen before.

“You’re kidding me, can you really read that stuff”.

“Yeah, at first I couldn’t read it too. But then I thought if they knew we didn’t come from this world why put this piece of paper here, it couldn’t be hung on the wall to confuse us, especially since we didn’t receive any real information about this place except for its name”.

“Yeah you’re right, so did you discover something?”.

“I did at first I looked at the paper from top to bottom, but didn’t recognize any word I knew on this paper, so I decided to study the strange words instead, after concentrating on those strange words for a while I got the feeling that I could understand it and started reading it a couple of times till their meaning became clear in my head”.

“So you’re saying by just concentrating on the words you can understand them, no way”.

“OK, how about you try it too, then we can make sure if what I felt was an illusion or not”.

“Fine let me try it”

Adam concentrated on the words for about 10 seconds, but he didn’t feel any change the words still felt foreign to him “No, man I can’t seem to understand any of it at all”.

“Concentrate a bit harder maybe you can feel it”.

“Are you sure man it wasn’t an illusion?”

“I am not sure, but I got the feeling that it wasn’t an illusion”.

“Fine, I will try a little harder”.

Adam concentrated as much as he could after a while he felt the words getting familiar, which made him really surprised, he continued reading the whole paper from beginning to end again and again, every time he did this he felt he understood the words more, till finally he could understand the words clearly “I really did it”.
